Natural Happiness
The self-centered case for environmentalism…
In an article from the April 19th Sunday New York Times Magazine, Yale University Professor of Psychology Paul Bloom suggests that nature is worth preserving not only for the health of the planet and the survival of life as we know it, but purely for the sake of our own happiness. He also talks about why there’s more to happiness than the latest technology or gadget. This was basically Sigurd’s core belief, albeit from a somewhat more spiritual perspective, imbued in everything he ever wrote. It’s also the central thesis of this documentary.
