Peter earned an MFA in Film and TV from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and a BA in Art from Gustavus Adolphus College. Growing up with two photographers for parents, Peter began making pictures and shooting 8mm film when he was a young boy. He’s received numerous grants and awards for his work as a cinematographer and director and was nominated for two Independent Spirit Awards for his feature film KAATERSKILL FALLS which he shot, co-produced and co-directed (with Josh Apter), and which won best feature at the Los Angeles Film Festival. Again with Mr. Apter, Peter received a $26,000 development grant from IFP/North and the Minnesota Independent Film Fund for their feature screenplay ICE NINE. Based in Brooklyn, New York, Peter’s expertise includes documentary, feature, and commercial cinematography and directing; product, landscape, lifestyle and portrait photography; color grading (trained and certified in DaVinci Resolve), and film and photo editing.
